US Air Force's LAMAT 2024 arrive in St Kitts and Nevis to provide medical assistance

On Monday, the Ministry of Health commenced a collaborative endeavour with LAMAT, the Lesser Antilles Medical Assistance Team, a dedicated team of medical professionals from the US Air Force Southern Command.
The LAMAT team will provide support in general surgery, dentistry, and emergency room practices. The Team also includes Family Practitioners, and an Audiology team that will treat both children and adults. The Team is also being supported by a team of physicians from the Republic of China (Taiwan).
To welcome the team to St Kitts and Nevis, the Ministry of Health hosted an opening ceremony at the Visitors Center, Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park.The welcoming party featured Hyleeta Liburd, OBE, MH, Deputy Governor General, along with Jahnel Nisbett, Minister responsible for Health et al, and Shelisa Martin-Clarke, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health et al, among other specially invited guests and Nevis Health fraternity staff.
Colonel Zoe Hawes, Troop Commander of LAMAT 2024, delivered remarks, followed by PS. Shelisa Martin-Clarke and concluding with Jahnel Nisbett, Minister responsible for Health et al.

Andres Tovar LAMAT 2024 Focal Point ( Nevis): Dr. Judy Nisbett The Ministry of Health of St Kitts and Nevis extended their heartfelt thanks to the US Air Force Southern Command and the LAMAT team and the Republic of China (Taiwan) for their willingness to serve and contribute to the health and prosperity of St Kitts and Nevis.Latest
