Multiple reports that a minister of government in the Timothy Harris-led Team Unity administration breached security on Saturday afternoon at St Kitts' Robert L Bradshaw International Airport.
Eyewitnesses say the minister entered the secure area with the assistance of a senior airport security official.
In keeping with international rules and regulations the airport security officers informed the minister that security procedures would have to be carried out.
"I was horrified to witness the minister insult the security officers who were professionally carrying out their duties," an eyewitness said Monday night.
"He was wearing a short pants and draggers and after the tirade in the presence of other security officers and many passengers, walked out on the ramp breaking all security rules," the individual said.
He reportedly gave a departing passenger a package.
The government minister is known for breaking security rules and insulting security officers whenever he is at the airport and sea port.
A security breach is defined as "any incident involving. unauthorized and uncontrolled access by an individual or. prohibited item into a sterile area or secured area of an. airport that is determined by TSA to present an immediate. and significant risk to life, safety, or the security of the passengers and stakeholders.
