SKN, Barbados, St Vincent, Trinidad, Bahamas & Antigua to get Pfizer vaccine from US
The US will be giving Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to Antigua and Barbuda, Trinidad and Tobago, the Bahamas, St. Kitts Nevis and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr Timothy Harris had written to the US President and called for additional help regarding COVID-19 vaccine. Many other Caribbean leaders had also written to the US. The POTUS responded to the letters, offering support.
As per reports, with PM Harris' efforts, St Kitts and Nevis is among the list of first six CARICOM countries to receive surplus vaccines from the United States of America. The US will be giving Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to Antigua and Barbuda, Trinidad and Tobago, the Bahamas, St Kitts Nevis and St Vincent and the Grenadines.In a statement, the Office of the President of the United States of America said that Pfizer vaccines are safe and secure that will help the Caribbean countries combat the fight against coronavirus.
All the six CARICOM countries will get a fair share of coronavirus vaccines, based on their population size.
The Bahamas will receive the largest consignment of 397,000, followed by Trinidad and Tobago with 305,370 dozes of the Pfizer vaccine,Barbados, 70,200, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, 35,100, Antigua and Barbuda 17,550 and St Kitts and Nevis with11,700 doses.The US said that they were making full attempts to lend their support in the health crisis and ensured to help their third border in the unprecedented crisis.
As per statistics, the Caribbean and Latin American regions, in general, experienced the worse effects of coronavirus, both financially and socially.
The recent vaccine support offered by the United States of America will truly help the small island nations in vaccinating their frontline workers and the general public.
St Kitts and Nevis is also considering methods to vaccinate children and protect them from the pandemic. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine emergency use permission for children ages 12 to 15.Latest
