In addition to this, the update was also announced by the Palm Beach International Airport on its official Facebook account. The airport officials said that March 9 marked Silver Airways' first day back at PBI and they celebrated with style - a water cannon salute for the inaugural flight.

The airport authorities also gave out Fly PBI goodies to passengers arriving for the Silver flight and said, "We can't wait to do it all again tomorrow and the next day and the next day and so on!"

The schedule of Silver Airways from West Palm Beach is as follows:

Nassau - daily Tampa - daily Tallahassee (TLH) - 3 times a week, beginning March 6 Pensacola (PNS) - 2 times a week, beginning March 7 Marsh Harbour (MHH) - 3 times a week, beginning March 9 The Ministry of Tourism of Bahamas gave a warm welcome to the inaugural Silver Airways flight from Palm Beach International Airport, Florida, to Marsh Harbour, Abaco. With this flight, visitors from the Palm Beach area will no longer have to travel down to Orlando or Fort Lauderdale to reach Bahamas.
