Price of diesel and cooking gas increases in St Lucia

Effective Monday, August 31, 2020, Saint Lucians are to pay more for diesel at the pumps and for cooking gas.

In keeping with changes in international oil prices and the Government’s application of the modified market pass-through petroleum pricing mechanism, the retail price of diesel, LPG 20, 22 and 100 lb cylinders has changed while gasoline and kerosene remain the same.

According to the Ministry of Commerce, diesel increased from $2.35 to $2.37 per litre or increased from $10.69 to $10.78 per gallon

For LPG, the 20 Pound Cylinder (9.07 kg) increased from $27.70 to $28.36 per cylinder, the 22 Pound Cylinder (9.98 kg) increased from $30.47 to $31.19 per cylinder, and the 100 Pound Cylinder (45.36kg) increased from $162.82 to $169.44 per cylinder

Gasoline remains unchanged at $2.67 per litre or $12.13 per gallon

Kerosene remains unchanged at $1.57 per litre or $7.15 per gallon.

The next adjustment of the retail price of fuel products will be on Monday, September 21, 2020.
