St. Kitts and Nevis: Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley led a visit to the Vanilla Paradise Nevis, an innovative vanilla farm created by Gina Empson and her team. He was absolutely astonished at what he saw and the progress made thus far.
While sharing glimpses of this visit on his official Facebook account, Premier Brantley said, “As we continue to see investors entering Nevis and adding value to our economic landscape, I had the chance to visit Vanilla Paradise Nevis.”
He was further amazed to learn that all of the inputs from the vanilla plants to the coconut husks to the wooden uprights for the plants are all sourced in Nevis.
The Premier also encouraged the citizens and residents who have not yet visited the farm to take a trip there soon and emphasized, “I assure you that you won’t be disappointed. Huge congratulations to Gina and her team, and thank you for your confidence in Nevis and your investment in our island. I wish this project every success.”
Meanwhile, the owner of the farm Gina Empson also expressed her gratitude to the Premier for paying a visit to the location.
“Thank you, Prime Minister Brantley, for seeing the potential and supporting our efforts to bring sustainable farming and new opportunities to our beautiful Nevis,” she outlined.
She stated that her team was truly honored to welcome Premier Mark Brantley to Vanilla Paradise Nevis, the island’s very first vanilla farm. Gina stated that his visit highlights what can be achieved on this beautiful island with hard work and dedication, especially from the incredible local handymen, craftsmen, and community workers.
The Premier also saw the incredible artwork by local painter Vaughn Anslyn, who painted vanilla orchids on a huge rock, which perfectly aligns with the overall beauty of the farm, leaving a profound impact on them.
He also had an amazing conservation with the team over there and asked them about the whole progress so far.
Mark Brantley also showcased his profound support for the farm and Gina and assured her that the administration will completely provide with everything the farm need.
