PM Roosevelt Skerrit to take COVID-19 jab in his hometown Vieille Case
Prime Minister noted that he is proud to lead a government that fears no effort to address the needs of the people of Dominica.

"We continue to provide doses to the vulnerable groups identified by the ministry of health," added PM Roosevelt Skerrit.
Prime Minister noted that he is proud to lead a government that fears no effort to address the needs of the people of Dominica.He stated that 70,000 doses of the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine are sufficient to immunize 35,000 people as it requires two doses.
Besides this, Prime Minister stated that Dominica donated 19,000 vaccine doses to its sister nations to vaccinate their front lines workers.
Dr. Skerrit assured people that he would also be getting the jabs in his home town Vieille Case to encourage his constituents and other Dominicans.
He stated that he firmly believes that his example would persuade people to build confidence towards getting vaccinated to be safe from coronavirus.
Dominica currently has thirteen coronavirus cases in the country with no virus-related deaths. As per the data by the health ministry of Dominica, over 121 people have successfully recovered, as the total confirmed patients were 137 to date. There are more than 28 persons currently in GOCD quarantine.
The small Caribbean country conducted 10917 coronavirus tests and 10783 tested negatives for the contagious disease.
Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit and health officials continue to advise people to follow respiratory hygiene guidelines to keep the numbers as low as possible.
