PM Allen Chastanet receives second dose of COVID-19 vaccine
Prime Minister of St Lucia Allen Chastanet received a second dose of Oxford AstrazenecaCOVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday.

Prime Minister of St Lucia Allen Chastanet received a second dose of Oxford AstrazenecaCOVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday. The second dose of the COVISHIELD vaccine can be taken between four to six weeks after receiving the first dose.
PM Chastanet shared the images on his Facebook page and stated that he will always be grateful to the frontline workers of the country who continue to lead the charge in a long, tedious battle.
He stated that St Lucia will always be indebted to you for your daily sacrifices. He said that the vaccine continues to be the best defence against the coronavirus pandemic. PM Stated that the vaccine could bring back lives to normalcy.
"As you may be aware, many countries worldwide are currently experiencing new waves of the virus and getting vaccinated continues to be one of the best defences against this pandemic and getting our lives back to some level of normalcy. Vaccinate: For You, For Yours, For Us," added the St Lucian Prime Minister.
Earlier on February 18, Prime Minister Allen Chastanet and his wife took the first shot of the Oxford Astrazeneca COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by the Serum Institute of India. While the first dose of the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine in Saint Lucia was Principal Nursing Officer Julietta Cassius.
Due to rising cases of coronavirus in St Lucia, the US have issued a level 4 advisory for its citizens, asking them "not to travel to St Lucia due to high COVID-19,"
St Lucia received 4,502 cases of COVID-19 virus, with over 73 deaths since the first case detected. Statistics of St Lucian Health Ministry suggests that 4,327 people have successfully recovered from the viral disease.
