St Kitts and Nevis: An 18-year-old athlete from St Kitts and Nevis, Jahzara Claxton has taken the country's name to new heights by securing a remarkable hat trick wicket in the final over, leading the Leeward Women's Team to a thrilling victory over Guyana by four runs.

The player performed exceptionally on Friday in the T20 Blaze Competition currently being hosted in St Kitts. The team won the match with just 5 runs needed from 3 balls, and it was the team's 2nd victory thus far for the tournament.

Needing 9 Runs to win, Claxton was given the final over to bowl in which she took three wickets off the final three balls of the innings to leave Guyana four runs short.

With 15 runs needed to win from 18 balls, Guyana lost six wicket for 10 runs. All rounder Reniece Boyce had figures of 2-15 while Shawnisha Hector had 2-16. Earlier, Divya Saxena topscored with 42 to help Leewards post 104 for 9, as N. Natchman picked up 2-10, Sheneta Grimmond 2-19 and A Munisar 2-23.

The historic hat trick was scored in the last three balls by Jahzara Claxton to lead the Leeward women's team to victory over Guyana, who needed just 8 runs from the last over, but Jahzara snatched victory from them with her awesome spell of bowling.

Notably, the Kittitian female is the youngest on the team and delivered three consecutive wickets in the last three balls of the match. The players who got out were Ashmini Munisar, Plaffiana Millington and Trisha Hardat.

Her performance not only secured victory for the team but also marked a historic moment in the cricketing field.

Notably, even in the last match against Barbados, Jahzara bowled the final over with Kyshona A Knight facing. Fifteen runs were required, but she bowled four dot balls, 1 no ball, had two singles taken, and there was a runout (by Shawnisha Hector), the 5th wicket to fall for Barbados.

Claxton didn't pick up a wicket, but her final over will be remembered for a long time.
