Grenada wins U19 Super 50 tournament, defeats St Vincent by 6 wickets in 12 overs

The St Vincent team won the toss and opted to bat first, which did not turn out to be a good decision for them as they were restricted to 91 runs, with Grenada taking all the wickets in 28.1 overs.
The Grenadian players performed exceptionally on the field to restrict the St Vincent to this score. Kirsten Murray 3 for 6, Enoch Toussaint 2 for 24 and 1 wicket each from Donte Alexander, Kirt Murray and Devin Tyson made it a quick end to the first innings.
During batting, the Grenada Under 19 team made 93 runs for 4 within the first 12 overs of the match. Divonie Joseph 38 and Jerel Jeremiah 29 were the top scorers for Grenada. The efforts of St. Vincent bowling attack was not enough to slow the predicted champions down as Kevin Joseph stood at 2 for 9, Kodi Grant 1 for 5 and Kirtney Franklyn 1 for 25.As the tournament ended with a clean sweep, the Spice Boys celebrated their victory with tremendous excitement.
In another match, Saint Lucia defeated Dominica with a whopping 132 runs and ended the chase for Dominica U19 in the WINLOTT Windward U19 Super 50 tournament at Benjamin's Park. It was another great showing, with Theo Edward scoring 81, and the backing of Lee John 55, Khan Elcock 37, and Tarriqu Edward 20 did it for Saint Lucia. Meanwhile, bowlers for Dominica, Earsinho Fontaine stood at 4 for 49, Jashon Vidal 2 for 32, Kester Lestrade 2 for 43 and Jelani Joseph 1 for 51.It is to be noted that the Dominican team could only post 108 in 35.4 overs, with Captain Jahson Vidal once again being the top scorer for Dominica with 31 runs. While for Saint Lucia, Lee John got three wickets for 33 and Kervin Gassie, Aaron Joseph, jeandell Cyril, Shawnil Edward, Royce Paul and Isiah Jones got a wicket each.
Saint Lucia remains second on the points table to bring an end to the defending title journey in this tournament.
