"New lockdown is unplanned," says United National Congress
The opposition United National Congress has called this lockdown "unplanned". It stated that the government have proved that the country is out of money.

The government of Trinidad and Tobago have declared a lockdown. PM Rowley has called for the closure of bars, restaurants, malls, places of worship, gyms and fitness centres, spas and beauty services, casinos, cinemas and more.
The opposition United National Congress has called this lockdown "unplanned". It stated that the government have proved that the country is out of money and is unable to facilitate any support to those who would suffer from the impact of the new measures.
"In the same manner as last year's lockdown measures, Keith Rowley's new measures are being done without a proper plan", stated UNC.
United National Congress, in a press release, declared that the PM Rowley led government needs to protect the lives and well-being of people while ensuring the food on their tables.The opposition stated that the government's agenda of "we are in this together" has been proven to be hollow and lacks any support to the public.
UNC stated that the Prime Minister is blaming the general public for a rise in coronavirus cases in Trinidad and Tobago while he forgets about the rampages from where he contracted the virus. "The lockdown does not affect the government because they think they are above the law," stated the United National Congress. Furthermore, UNC stated that people are being blamed for visiting their loved ones and not taking the coronavirus vaccine while it the government's lack of policies that are resulting in a rise of COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago. The opposition stated that Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley and his government is denying to acknowledge their missteps to secure the maritime borders as it is eminent that the Brazilian variant arrived in Trinidad and Tobago via illegal migrant crossing from South America. As per UNC, the government is currently without any plan and is looking for escapes by blaming the citizens for their failures.Latest
