On Feb. 6, 2016, the People's Labour Party Executive and Founding Members (PLPEFM) mandated an inquiry into an allegation, by senior member Dwyer Astaphan, that PLP leader Timothy Harris scandalously collected substantial sums of money, from donors to the PLP/Team Unity 2015 election campaign, but had neither reported the money to the PLPEFM nor deposited same on the PLP bank account at RBTT.
Dwyer's detailed information about the brazen fraud perpetrated by the PLP leader and now SKN prime minister Timothy Harris, came from Alexis Nisbett who currently serves as Chairman of the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Limited, is another PLPEFM member and a co-conspirator (in the corrupt and illegal conversion of campaign funds) with Heston Hamm and Timothy Harris.
Timothy Harris was ordered, by the PLPEFM, to cooperate with a 5-person committee to be established and chaired by the PLP Chairman, Douglas Wattley.
Even after 1,079 days, Timothy Harris has flouted the wishes of the PLPEFM and frustrated all efforts to establish integrity, transparency and accountability in the People's Labour Party.
A source said that so far, $12 million is reported missing and there is substantial reason to believe that we have only touched the "tip of the iceberg".
If, as PLP leader, Timothy Harris could not be trusted with handling millions of dollars belonging to the election campaign, should he, as prime minister, be trusted with handling billions of dollars belonging to the people of St. Kitts and Nevis?
Timothy Harris has said of his colleagues, "none of them can hold a candle of correction to me"!
