Barbados: Ministry of health and wellness on September 25 confirmed 3 deaths and additional 175 new cases of COVID-19 from 2,085 tests in Barbados. 86 females and 89 males are the latest positive cases of global pandemic confirmed by the Best-Dos Santos Public Health laboratory.

According to official data released by the Ministry of health and wellness, all three deaths were females aged 50, 66 and 84 who were already suffering from comorbidities and were unvaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.

Among the persons who tested positive for COVID-19, 43 persons are under the age of 18 and the other 132 persons who tested positive are above the age of 18, whereas a total number of 1037 patients are currently under isolation.

Barbados has reported 7576 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which includes 3736 males and 3840 females. So far, the country has reported 67 deaths due to viral illness.

Following the rigorous testing in the country, the Public health laboratory has administered about 308,840 tests so far.

Whereas, 37.6% of the whole population are fully vaccinated against the Covid 19 pandemic, which includes a total of 132,267 administrations of first doses under the national vaccination programme. To date, 101,857 persons have been administered with the second dose of Covid 19 vaccine.
