Bahamas: A shooting incident has claimed the life of a 33-year-old male who was shot by unknown assailants outside a local nightspot in New Providence. The incident took place during the early hours of Monday, said the officials and pushed the homicide toll in the country to 41. According to the preliminary reports by police officials in the Bahamas, the 33-year-old male was shot dead outside of a local nightspot located at West Bay Street sometime after 4 am today. The police officials reported that the victim was standing in a parking lot of the business establishment and was about to enter his car when he got into an argument with another unidentified individual.

It is further reported that the confrontation between the two men became serious, which resulted in the other man taking out a firearm and shooting the 33-year-old several times, following which he fled the scene.

The officials have also said that after being shot, the victim managed to flee the area but collapsed a short distance away from his vehicle. A passerby informed the police of the incident, who reached out to the incident with emergency medical technicians.

The police reported that the medical officials checked the victim on the scene and examined him but found no vital signs of life, following which he was pronounced dead.

The officials have launched an investigation into this incident and are looking for the suspects involved in this matter.

It is also to be noted that the incident took place around 48 hours after another shooting incident, which took place on Saturday and left a 37-year-old male dead outside a business establishment.

The recent shooting incidents have left the citizens and residents in a state of concern, with some of them expressing their concerns over a huge number of murders taking place in the country.
