American Airlines to offer nonstop flights from Oct 7, 2024 to Mar 31, 2025, to Dominica, ahead of the earlier announced schedule

Dominica: Minister of Tourism Denise Charles Pemberton announced that American Airlines has agreed to offer nonstop flights to Dominica from October 7, 2024, to March 31, 2025, which is ahead of the earlier announced schedule. Initially, the airline announced that it would begin service on November 5, but after fruit discussions at Root America last month, the airline decided to expand the service. While announcing the development, Minister Charles said that the Ministry of Tourism is elated over the fact that people can easily access into Dominica for Christmas, World Creole Music Festival and Carnival 2025 with American Airlines.

She also mentioned that the airline is offering daily flights from June 5 to August 5, 2024, making it easier than ever for the diaspora to come back home for the summer.

The Tourism Minister expressed her happiness over the significant news and said, “This is fantastic news, and I thank American Airlines for the confidence in our destination.”

Furthermore, she noted that the Ministry of Tourism continues to maintain a strong relationship with the airline partners as they aim to have more nonstop and same-day travel options to Dominica.

The Minister outlined that in order to sustain these daily flights, she is appealing to the accommodation sector to offer attractive packages to the visitors who want to travel for the summer, winter and during the festivals throughout the year.

In addition to this, Denise Charles Pemberton commended WINAIR and InterCaribbean airlines for collaborating with the country to offer attractive fares for the upcoming Jazz ‘n Creole Festival 2024.

Pemberton further encouraged Dominicans both near and far and the citizens across the world who want to visit the country’s highly acclaimed sites and attractions to take benefit of this direct flight by American Airlines.

Whether they are coming for adventure, reunions, business, vacations or the Creole Festival, the Tourism Minister asked them to reserve their seats now and explore the various unique offerings of the Nature Isle of the Caribbean.
