American Airlines expands winter services to Latin American, Caribbean with 8 new routes
The airline announced that the new route will include a Saturday service from Charlotte International Airport, North Carolina to St Vincent and the Grenadines as well as weekly flights from John F Kennedy in New York to Saint Lucia, St Maarten and St Vincent and the Grenadines, all beginning from December 7.

In a significant development, American Airlines is all set to expand its winter schedule with a whopping eight new routes to Latin America and the Caribbean.
The airline announced that the new route will include a Saturday service from Charlotte International Airport, North Carolina to St Vincent and the Grenadines as well as weekly flights from John F Kennedy in New York to Saint Lucia, St Maarten and St Vincent and the Grenadines, all beginning from December 7.
According to the information by American Airlines, there will also be a daily service from John F Kennedy, New York to Barbados. This service will begin on November 5 while from December 5, 2024, the airline will start daily services from Miami to La Romana, Dominican Republic.
In addition to this, the airline announced that it will have a new service on Saturdays from Philadelphia to Barbados, beginning from November 9 and to Liberia, Costa Rica from December 7, 2024.
While announcing the expanded winter schedule, American’s senior vice president of network and schedule planning, Brian Znotins said that the company is excited to continue growing its network to the region with more flights this winter to the Caribbean and Latin American than any other United States carrier ever.
He also mentioned that the tickers for the new routes in the Caribbean and Latin America will be available for purchase on American Airlines’ website from May 20.
Not only this, but the airline has also announced an increase in service on its existing popular routes to accommodate more travelers seeking to spend their vacations in the Caribbean region.
From December 5 this year, the following routes will see an increase in services with daily flights: Chicago to Nassau, Bahamas; Charlotte to Antigua; Dallas, Fort Worth to Nassau, Bahamas; Miami to Bonaire; Dallas, Fort Worth to Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; and Miami to Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
Meanwhile, the Miami to Tortola, British Virgin Island route will also witness an increase in service by Americans to peak five peak-day flights from December 7.
The expansion of services during the peak winter tourism season showcases the airline’s commitment and dedication towards the passengers as well as the Caribbean region.
