Things got strange on a recent Delta Air Lines flight from Syracuse to Atlanta, when a woman allegedly began breastfeeding a cat, giving shock to fellow passengers and crew. While the plane took off , a flight attendant transmitted a message via the aircraft's Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) to inform the ground crew that the passenger in seat "13A is breastfeeding a cat and will not return the cat to its carrier when [flight attendant] requests."
Additionally, the ACARS message requested that the woman be received upon the flight's arrival in Atlanta by Delta's "Red Coat" team – a special group dubbed "customer service experts" by the airline.
Later that day, the flight attendant took to social media to provide additional details about the incident, recalling, "This woman had one of those hairless cats wrapped in a blanket to resemble a baby, her shirt was pulled up and she was attempting to breasteed the cat, but she refused to return the cat to the carrier."
"The cat was screaming for its life," the flight attendant continued.
The alleged incident occurred on a flight on November 13, and it is unclear whether the woman was confronted by the Red Coat team.
