PM Roosevelt Skerrit visits Dominica Pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020

Prime Minister of Dominica Dr Roosevelt Skerrit is recently in Dubai for a formal visit. During the trip, he also toured the Dominica Pavilion at the Dubai Expo 2020.

Prime Minister of Dominica Dr Roosevelt Skerrit at Expo 2020 in Dubai.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Prime Minister of Dominica Dr Roosevelt Skerrit is recently in Dubai for a formal visit. During the trip, he also toured the Dominica Pavilion at the Dubai Expo 2020. He shared the photographs from his visit on Twitter. Prime Minister wrote, "Yesterday, I visited Dominica Pavilion at the @expo2020dubai. The Pavillion shows everything related to Dominica, from its coral reefs and tropical forests to the world's second-largest boiling lake."

The Dominica Pavilion is located at the Architect Thermatic District Pavilion and is open five days a week from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. It has cultural discovery, exhibitions and gift/souvenir shops. Visitors can learn about the Kalinago people, buy locally made paintings and learn about the rich culture of Dominica at the Expo 2020. Dominica shares good bilateral relations with the United Arab Emirates and also has an Embassy in Abu Dhabi established in 2020. Several Caribbean countries, including St Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, Jamaica, Grenada, Jamaica, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominica, also participated in the magnificent event. The Dubai Expo was earlier scheduled for October 20 2020, to April 10 2021, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. More than 190 countries have their Pavilion at the 4.5-kilometre long Expo. Despite the delay, the organizers agreed on keeping the name "Dubai Expo 2020". Inaugurated on October 1, 2021, Expo 2020 is open five days a week and is attracting major tourism for Dubai. It is one of the major global events besides the 2020 Olympics to take place after the countries lowered the COVID-19 related restrictions. The Pavilions of various countries depict their rich culture, beauty and unknown facts about those countries. For the first time in the history of the World Expo, every country is assigned their "very own Pavilions". Some of the biggest Pavilions will remain at the location even after the Expo finishes after six months.
