Police in Dominica name Roseau murder victim
Man found fatally wounded in city this morning
The man killed outside a supermarket in Roseau this morning has been named as Flavian Bellot.
His killing is thought to have taken place around 4am.
Pellam Jno Baptise, police public relations officer, confirmed the incident was being treated as murder.
“The police responded to information which led to the discovery of an injured Flavian Bellot, male adult of Gallion,” he said.
“Bellot was met in a semi-conscious state on River Bank in Roseau in the vicinity of Save-A-Lot supermarket. He had sustained multiple wounds to his head and face."
Bellot died after being taken to the accident and emergency department at Princess Margaret Hospital.
Investigations are ongoing and police in Dominica are urging anyone with information to come forward.
