Governance of a country is a serious business, says PM Roosevelt Skerrit
An event was organized by Dominica Labour Party in the Soufriere parliamentary constituency.

Prime Minister of Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit addressed the inhabitants during an endorsement event organized to publicize Denise Charles who is a candidate for upcoming general elections. Denise Charles is standing from the Soufriere Constituency.
Dr. Skerrit shared his personal life experiences with the people of his country where he told about his childhood and education struggles.
While presenting his viewpoint on politics Dr Skerrit quoted that, "Governance of a country is a serious business, when you are leader of a country, you have been trusted with the lives and the future of the country who live in the country and you cannot take rash decision because any decision you take can have a positive or a negative impact who reside in that country."
Prime Minister shared his stories when he used to go to primary school in Vieille Case. He said that he was raised by his grandmother and aunt who taught him to serve people.
"When I got involved in politics, I never helped people in exchange for a vote, I help people because it is in my heart and conscience to help those who need help. I never ask who they vote for. If it is in my hand to help I help." added Skerrit.
Dr. Skerrit also apprised the people about the intentions of the leader of the opposition. He said that the leader of the United Workers Party wants to stop all the contracts and programme's if his party wins the coming elections.
Citizenship by Investment which is a source of getting foreign direct investment in the country Prime Minister Dr. Skerrit said that CBI has been a safeguard for this country especially after Hurricane Maria, which is assisting in funding all the developmental programme's on the Island.
Long extempore by the Prime Minister remained a developmental centric, where he discussed his vision and administrative initiatives taken by the Dominica Labour Party in the past two decades for the upliftment of the nation.
