Felix Henderson was a true patriot, says PM Dr Roosevelt Skerrit on the demise of veteran DBS broadcaster

Roseau, Dominica: Prime Minister of Dominica Dr Roosevelt Skerrit expressed his condolences to the family and friends of veteran broadcaster Felix Henderson, who died on Tuesday at Dominica-China friendship hospital.
PM Dr Roosevelt Skerrit shared a photograph of late Felix with a heart-warming caption that stated that he is deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Mr Henderson.
The post further added, "I extend deepest condolences to his wife and children, to his colleagues at DBS radio and to the entire media fraternity who mourn his passing."
Prime Minister Dr Skerrit referred to Henderson as Creole Icon who worked tirelessly to preserve this vital aspect of Dominican heritage, and a consummate professional who embodied the high ethics and spirit of media and communication in Dominica.
He added that Felix Henderson will always be remembered for his brilliant advertisements known to all Dominicans, and also for the creation of the national schools Reading Competition that would later be adopted at the OECS level.
"Felix Henderson was a true patriot, a legendary Dominican who leaves a lasting impact. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of every Dominican," added Dr Roosevelt Skerrit.
Henderson was suffering from acute heart disease and was undergoing treatments at Princess Margaret Hospital before being airlifted to Martinique in July. However, he returned back to Dominica and lapsed into a coma and was readmitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital where he took his last breath.
A native of Grand Bay, Henderson started working at Dominica Broadcast Service(DBS) over 43 years ago in May 1977.
