Dominica: Windsor Park Stadium turned into 'Drive-Thru' COVID testing centre
The government of Dominica is opting for more innovative ways to conduct COVID-19 testing across the country.
Minister of Health, Wellness and New Health Investment Dr Irving McIntyre marked the day "a significant day in Dominica's fight against COVID-19".

Staff taking COVID-19 sample at Drive-Thru testing site[/caption]He said the drive-through COVID-19 testing at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium allows vehicles to access the testing site by entering through the main gate on Bath Road opposite the Government Headquarters and turn left on entering the stadium.Explaining the process, he said once the testing is done, people can exit the stadium from the Riverside entrance. Dr McIntyre said people would be facilitated with their results electronically.
"It is extremely important that we continue to avail ourselves of vaccination and adhere to public health and social measures. In the final analysis, it's our actions that will determine our outcome." added Minister of Health, Wellness and New Health Investment Dr Irving McIntyre on social media.

Ultra-low vaccine freezer donated by GMED Global[/caption]Besides training Dominican health care providers and donating Antigen test kits, GMED Global also donated an ultra-low vaccine freezer worth US $300,000 to the country.
Recently, Dominica witnessed a hike in COVID-19 cases. The authorities are now very vigilant and reaching out to public to so the real status of the virus could be determined.
