Dominica: PM Roosevelt Skerrit meets PAHO Director Dr Etienne
Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, met the director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Dr Carissa Etienne.

Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) helped Dominica in delivering coronavirus vaccines.Dominica helped deepen and enhance this strategy, as well as make significant systemic changes that place primary health care at the heart of the country's efforts to improve health and well-being. With the help of PAHO, Dominica was able to contain the infection of coronavirus. In November 2021, PAHO donated two buses, vaccine carriers, nebulizers & several other medical supplies to the country. The supplies also included 20 oxygen tanks to strengthen the country's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. PAHO also helped Dominica in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in 2017 and assisted in the prevention of any viral outbreaks during the catastrophe.Author Profile
