World MICE Awards recognises Saint Lucia as Caribbean’s Best Corporate Retreat Destination

The Director for the United Kingdom and Europe, Patricia Charlery Leon and the Representative for Germany, Switzerland and Austria, Antje Rudhart accepted the accolade on behalf of Saint Lucia.
While recalling the past year, the SLTA officials said that the island hosted the 30th Anniversary of the World Travel Awards Gala Ceremony which was a significant occasion that demonstrated the island’s exceptional capabilities as a world class destination.Following the prestigious recognition, the Chairman of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Thaddeus M Antoine said that the esteemed recognition as the Best Corporate Retreat Destination of the Caribbean is not only a remarkable milestone but also celebrates the unwavering dedication of the industry professionals.
He also highlighted the MICE events which will be taking place in Saint Lucia in 2024. Among them are the Global Piton Awards, CARILEC’s Annual Regional Conference and the Health Research Conference hosted by CARPHA.
Meanwhile, the CEO of the Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association, Noorani Azeez said that the 190 member companies are elated about the recent achievement as it serves as a remarkable addition to the collection of past awards and also reflects the dedication and expertise of the member companies.He said that the SLHTA takes pride in offering world renowned amenities and breathtaking scenery while providing a unique ambiance for corporate events.
The SLTA and SLHTA officials also extended their appreciation and gratitude to the MICE community and consumers who supported the island through the voting process. They also encouraged everyone to celebrate this award and explore the outstanding MICE offerings in Saint Lucia.
