Partnership announced to shape climate-resistant Dominica

Prime Minister Roosvelt Skerrit of Dominica and former US President Bill Clinton have announced that the Clinton Foundation’s Climate Initiative and the government of Dominica are launching a partnership to assist Dominica with an integrated resource plan for the energy sector.
Together their goal is to shape Dominica into the first climate resilient country in the world.
The tiny Caribbean island, home to just over 70,000 people, was devastated by category five Hurricane Maria in September 2017.
The storm caused millions of dollars worth of damage to key infrastructure, and left at least 30 people dead.
