While painting the vanilla orchids, Vaughn faced a huge challenge which was the canvas being a huge rock which is not levelled and messes with the painter’s mind in the best possible way. Vaughn said that his secret to making it perfect was his imagination behind it looking from every viewpoint which ensure that it is a visual treat from any angle and a dynamic as well as 3D experience for the visitors.
The idea behind the painting started with a casual chat between Vaughn and the founder of the Vanilla Paradise – Gina Empson. Gina approached him with an idea, asking the artist whether he could paint something extraordinary and unique just for the farm.
Following the discussion, the artist went to the farm and was blown away by its natural beauty. He said that it was like a miracle as he had never seen anything like the farm in Nevis or anywhere in the Caribbean.
Vaughn Anslyn got inspired from the natural beauty of the island and skillfully transformed the rock with his unique art.
