UWP leader targets DLP says red refers to ‘Extreme Danger’

Postponed eastern zone rally of United Workers Party (UWP) held today at Willie’s Junction in La Plaine. Hundreds of UWP workers from all across the Island assembled colored in blue. During the rally leaders of the party expressed their views on agriculture and development issues in Dominica.

While addressing the rally, United Worker Party’s Roseau Central candidate Soso Cuffy targeted the Dominica Labour Party for evading the agriculture community of the country.

He said. “God is listening to prayers of party workers, Roseau Central constituency will remain in hands of UWP and we will teach a lesson to DLP after succeeding over the seat once again.”

He also said that “DLP has done nothing for farmers, teachers and skill training. Agriculture is an integral part of Dominica and United Workers Party knows how to blossom farming on the Island and increase the incomes of whomsoever connected with this field. ”

Soso Cuffy claimed that when United Workers party was in power, the condition of farmers on the island was far better than what it is today.

Clement Marcellin Jr the United Worker Party’s candidate from Vieille Case Constituency against DLP candidate and current Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit targeted the Dominica Labour Party by calling it ‘Extremely Dangerous’ for the country.

He said, “DLP has a new slogan which says it is safe but red is the signature color of extreme danger so, a political party with a similar color cannot be safe for the country.”

“During my training after project management, we were taught to consider the color ‘Red’ as ‘Danger’.UWP is the only safest party which will take this country on the next level.” He added.

Clement Marcellin Jr also said that each day comes with new hopes and the citizens of Dominica have the pen to write their destiny by choosing UWP as their upcoming government.

Worrell Sanford, United Worker Party candidate for Kalinago territory said that “It is epidemic of the Island that the health system in the country is broken where people are losing their lives because of lack of advanced health facilities.”

He said, “The Prime Minister has insurance and is capable of flying to other places to avail health facilities for his family but what about a local citizen of the country?”

Sanford claimed that nurses are forced to migrate to other countries for better future because they are not given enough room to maneuver in Dominica and UWP is the only political party that can fix the health system in the country.
