Usain Bolt rushed to scene of Germaine Mason accident

Olympic sprint superstar Usain Bolt rushed to the scene of Germaine Mason's fatal motorcycle crash outside of Kingston after learning of his friend's accident.
WIC News reported yesterday how Jamaica-born athlete Mason lost control of his motorcycle along Sir Florizel Glasspole Boulevard, in St Andrew's Parish, in the early hours of the morning.
The 34-year-old high jumper – who switched allegiance from Jamaica to Great Britain in 2006 – was pronounced dead when he arrived at hospital.

It is understood that before the crash Mason was at a party with Jamaica's track star Bolt, who remained at the crash scene until Mason's body was removed by paramedics.
The Daily Mail reported that former Bolton Wanderers and Jamaica footballer Ricardo Gardner was also spotted at the site.
Mason, who won a silver medal for Great Britain at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, leaves behind a five-year-old son.
He retired from the sport in 2016 but died holding Jamaica's national record for the high jump event, at 2.34 metres.
