Trinidadian cop gets 15 years in prison for raping daughter
According to the reports, the police officer pleaded guilty to seven sexual offences last year but was sentenced by court on Wednesday. The court sentenced the man to 15 years in prison.

A police official residing in Port of Spain, Trinidad was sentenced of raping daughter multiple times since 2010. As per reports, the wife reported that the man continued this abuse for three years since 2010.
According to the reports, the police officer pleaded guilty to seven sexual offences last year but was sentenced by court on Wednesday. The court sentenced the man to 15 years in prison.The incident came to light in April 2023, when the officer's wife found that her husband sexually abused their daughter in July 2010 after she discovered a DVD in their bedroom on which one of the attacks was recorded.
However, the face of the suspect was not visible in the video, but the she identified him through his body. While reporting the incident to the police, the woman said that she had made many copies of the DVD and also gave one to the pastor for safety before confronting her husband.
As she confronted the man, he denied all the allegations before admitting to them and claimed that he didn't mean to hurt anyone. Following this, she also forced the the husband to move out of their home. Following that he was reported to the police.The police officials also interviewed the victim, who said that her father started having sex with her at the age of 9, and this happened three times a week in her parent's bedroom while her mother was not at home.
After this, she was also shown the video in her mother's presence, and officials asked her to identify herself before she was medically examined.
After the confirmation of the brutal crime, the court slapped the suspect with 5 charges for having sex with a minor, one for grievous sexual assault, and another for serious indecency. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison for each of the statutory rape charges and for grievous sexual assault.Latest
