Trinidad welcomes 2963 passengers aboard luxurious cruise Ruby Princess

The officials from the Ministry of Tourism of Trinidad wished the passengers a wonderful day ahead and also caught up with a few on the Maracas Beach Tour.
The Ministry also shared glimpses of the passengers enjoying and exploring the island nation, with several of them seen having a good time on the beach. The cruise is on a 14 day voyage to the Caribbean including stops at St Kitts, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Barbados, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, Aruba and Bonaire.

According to the statistics by the Tourism Ministry, the island is witnessing a thriving cruise season, with over 40% of passengers going on organised tours for which 149 taxis are being utilised. The increase in cruise arrivals not only shows the island’s increasing presence among international cruise liners, but also gives a huge boost to the local economy.
The data also showed that the average spend for the 2023-2024 Cruise Season is presently estimated at US$28 per person. In addition to this, the month of February ended with a busy cruise week with the arrival of around 5969 passengers in the last two days of the month. The Tourism Ministry has noted a successful season thus far, with a total of 25 vessels calling, bringing in 57,424 passengers and 21,097 crew members. The island will be welcoming more cruises throughout the month and the arrivals reaffirms that Trinidad is a desirable destination for visitors from across the globe.It is to be noted that the cruise industry is a major contributor to the island’s economy and the Tourism Ministry remains committed to providing the best possible experience for both visitors and the local community.
