Trinidad and Tobago: As the number of coronavirus cases increases in Trinidad and Tobago, the government have now announced new limitations across the country. Prime Minister Keith Rowley on Thursday imposed new restrictions and ordered the closure of bars, restaurants, malls, places of worship, gyms and fitness centres, spas and beauty services, casinos, cinemas.  The administration further announced the closure of spas and beauty services and the closure of casinos, cinemas and theatres. The new closure would be effective from Friday midnight (30th April 2021) until 23rd May 2021. Prime Minister said that he has been informed by lawyers that the current laws in Public Health Act and the regulations subtract members of the Police Service to intrude in private places. He said, "If the police are duly of the idea that what is going on in the individual space is disrupting to the public interest with reverence to this public health emergency, the Police will be so notified and guided." stated Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley. Prime Minister stated that people would not be allowed to spread the coronavirus within private spaces. The Prime Minister declared that the government would continue the national immunisation program as more recognised COVID-19 vaccines become possible.
