Tobago welcomes record-breaking 20,213 visitors in March 2024
According to the information, the international visitor arrivals to the shores of Tobago for March 2024 stood at an estimated 20,213 figure, an increase from the corresponding March 2023 figure of around 14,154. This figure showcases the highest number of arrivals for any March period spanning from 2017-2023.
It is also being said that March 2018 saw the second highest recorded number of visitors for the corresponding period.The huge number of visitor arrivals showcases the increasing growth of the island among international passengers resulting them in having Tobago on their travel bucket list.
In addition to this, since the beginning of this year, the island is welcoming thousands of passengers who are giving a major boost to the local economy and are also stimulating the tourism sector.
In February, the island welcomed a total of 26,672, while in January, 27,899 visitors touched their feet on Tobago. The number of visitors in January marked a remarkable increase of 27.2 percent from the same month last year.The arrivals recorded in February 2024 were also the highest for any February period from 2017.The numbers clearly showcase that the island remains an unspoilt destination in the Caribbean and is being travelled by a huge number of international people.
Recently, in February, the island also made it to the Wanderlust Travel Magazine’s 2024 hotlist of dream destinations, with the magazine writing an 11-page feature on Tobago.
This prestigious recognition once again showcased that the destination is becoming famous across the world.
