Third person in custody over murder of Leanna Napoleon

Two were arrested and charged last weekend

Police in St Kitts and Nevis have a third man in custody in relation to the killing of Leanna Napoleon.

Shadwell resident, Ivan Phillip, 18, had been the subject of an arrest warrant for suspected murder. 

He turned himself in to Basseterre police station last night.

The body of Basseterre High School student Leanna was discovered in a shallow grave last week.

She had been missing since 8 May before being found in the Olivees area.

Two people were arrested and charged her murder over the weekend, including her older brother Brandon Lee Wells, 19.

The other person in custody is 18-year-old Travien Liddie.

On Monday evening Liddie attempted to take his own life in his cell.
