Teenagers killed in Choc bridge crash named

Two young women killed on the Castries-Gros Islet highway have been named as police are investigating the incident.

Friends and classmates Zina Anthony, 19, and Zhane Williams, 18, died after the car they were traveling in was in involved with a head-on collision with a truck.

The truck overturned in the accident.

Police said that one of the girls died at the scene, with the other pronounced dead at hospital.

Williams was a resident of Massacre, Anse La Raye, and Anthony of Ciceron, Castries.

Yesterday WIC News reported on the accident, which happened just before 9pm on Saturday night.

The teenagers were passengers in the car. According to local sources, the driver is in a stable condition in hospital despite initial reports that he his injuries were critical.

The driver of the truck, named as Brian King, as well as a male passenger both suffered minor injuries.
