Victim suffered injuries to the head
Police in St Kitts and Nevis have launched a murder investigation after a woman was found dead on Sunday.
Officers discovered Shirley Dawn Morton, 45, at a property in Hanleys Road, Buck Hill.
She had suffered what the St Christopher and Nevis Police Force described as “visible injuries to the head” and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The owner of the house was the victim’s boyfriend, Wayne “Spyer” Chapman.
Police officers are currently attempting to track him in connection with the incident.
“The scene was processed and a number of items of evidential value were taken into police custody,” said a statement from the country’s police force.
Anyone with any information relating to the murder has been asked to come forward.
