St Kitts-Nevis ex-COP, CG Walwyn appointed Deputy Commissioner of operations in USVI

Former Commissioner of the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Dr Celvin G Walwyn has taken up a top law enforcement position in the United States Virgin Islands.
According to an informed source, Dr Walwyn has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Operations with effect from March 18.
Dr Walwyn, who was born in St Kitts and lived in St Croix at an early age, will reside in the St Croix District and will have Territorial oversight of police operations.
Under his leadership, the major crime was reduced 29 percent in St Kitts and Nevis.
Following his departure from Basseterre in 2015, Dr Walwyn is returning to Caribbean law enforcement.
Dr Walwyn served as a police officer in Florida and Texas and holds a PhD in Public Safety with a Specialization in Leadership.
