St Kitts: Deadliest first six-week since 2007; 7 dead, 6 injured in shootings
The first six weeks of 2019 has been recorded as the bloodiest and deadliest in 13 years – 2007 to 2019 - in the history of St. Kitts and Nevis.

The first six weeks of 2019 has been recorded as the bloodiest and deadliest in 13 years – 2007 to 2019 - in the history of St. Kitts and Nevis.
This is according to Washington DC-based Nevis-born social media guru, Everton "Obi" Powell, in a recent post of a graph generated by resident statistician Hezron Wade.
Six young men were murdered execution style in seven days on St. Kitts, taking to seven the number of murders for the six-week period of 2019.
"It showed 2019 is the worse so far," Powell noted.
The graph indicates one 1 murder in the years 2008 and 2011; 2 murders in 2007, 2014, and 2017; 3 murders in 2009, 2012 and 2018; 4 murders in 2013; 5 murders in 2010; 6 murders in 2015, and 2016 and a record 7 murders in 2019.
According to information posted on the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force FaceBook page there were nine shooting incidents in the period January 1, 2019 to February 14, 2019 which left seven young men dead and six others injured.
January 1, 2019 – Nevis - 22-year-old Keon Moore of Bath Plain and 28-year-old Jelani Liburd of Craddock Road were shot and injured in Stoney Grove. Liburd died on January 22.
January 5, 2019 – St. Kitts –24-year-old Kevin Phillip of Neverson Street, New Town, shot and injured by three (3) unknown assailants.
January 7, 2019 – St. Kitts - 22-year-old Calvert Francis, 18-year-old Alvin Browne and a juvenile of St. Paul's were shot and injured.
January 9, 2019 – St. Kitts – Bus driver escaped injury when he was shot at in Sandy Point.
February 8, 2019 – St. Kitts - 25-year-old Kareem Hendricks was shot in his forearm by a lone gunman in Shadwell.
February 10, 2019 – St. Kitts - 33-year-old Musa Warner and 22-year-old Shakeem Stevens were killed in Old Road.
February 11, 2019 – St. Kitts - 28-year-old Eric "Jun Jun" Thompson of Ponds shot several times about the body by a lone gunman outside his home.
February 13, 2019 – St. Kitts - Vere Amory, also known as "Money" or "Stiff Jacket," of Ponds Pasture, was shot and killed by a lone gunman as he played dominoes in Sandy Point.
February 14, 2019 - St. Kitts - Joel Phillip, also known as "Bouyaka" of St. Johnston Village, was shot and killed in his home by unknown gunmen.
February 14, 2019 - St. Kitts - Gavin Rogers was shot and killed in his home in Old Road by a lone gunman.
February 18, 2019 – St. Kitts - Leroy Henry of Upper Malone Avenue died in a domestic dispute. Henry was shot by police as he attempted to cut his throat. Results of autopsy to be released.
