A man from the United Kingdom has been hit by a car while visiting St Lucia.
He was rushed to hospital on Sunday morning after the incident at Pigeon Island, Gros Islet, said the St Lucia Times.
The website identified the injured tourist as Adam Seven, who they believe is in his late forties.
He was on the island to marry his fiancee when he was hit just after 7am.
Quoting police officials, St Lucia Times said that Seven was part of a group of joggers on their way back to their resort when a car – later identified as a rented Suzuki – hit him from behind.
The driver failed to stop.
The details of his injuries are unclear but WIC News has emailed the Royal St Lucia Police Force for further information. WIC News understands that one man is in custody in relation to the hit-and-run.Latest
