In response, the Patriots shot with the bat again to chase the target, led by Sherfane Rutherford's unbeaten 59 off 34 balls.
The Amazon Warriors did an excellent job in their innings and Hafeez had to thank; his 70 runs off 59 balls anchored the innings so Hetmyer could play his natural game. The pair entered into a partnership of 101 deliveries out of 67 deliveries, but both dropped consecutive balls in the 18th over. Nicholas Pooran and Brandon King then scrambled a few late runs to ensure the Amazon Warriors scored their highest score of the tournament so far.
A goal of 167 seemed like a difficult task, but Patriots openers Evin Lewis and Devon Thomas laid the groundwork for the chase with an opening of 69.
The launch of Imran Tahir was crucial for the Amazon Warriors as he removed both openers to swing the game back in their favor.
However, the heroes from the opening game of the Patriots, Rutherford and Dwayne Bravo, won another game to bring the Patriots to the brink of victory.
Bravo was sacked with another 18 runs, but Rutherford scored an unforgettable victory with his second 50 of the tournament.
Summary of scores: St Kitts & Nevis Patriots 168/4 (Rutherford 58 *, Thomas 31; Van Meekeren 2/23, Allen 1/31) beat Guyana Amazon Warriors 166/3 (Hafeez 70, Hetmyer 52; Tahir 2/26, Smith 1/30) by six wickets
