ROC90 salutes ROCers Javon Liburd and Trevis Belle
President of ROC90, Victor Williams has expressed pride on behalf of the group on the royal recognition of two young nationals.
Describing the moment as "glorious," Williams informed members of the ROC90 - former BHS students that visiting His Royal Highness, Prince Charles in brief remarks at Government House made mention of dynamic young people and was encouraging young people to continue to make a difference.
"He specifically named two dynamic young persons and my heart was filled with pride. He named Javon Liburd and Trevis Belle who he acknowledged as recipients of Queen Elizabeth’s Young Leaders of the Commonwealth Award. He encouraged other young persons to emulate them. It was a proud moment for ROC90. Our children are making us proud ! ….. Kudos to ROC90," said Williams, adding: "Be not weary in well doing. We are making a difference – a positive difference."
Williams used the opportunity to again acknowledge the hard work that the Core Group has been doing over the many years.
"I also acknowledge the hard work done by past co-chairs Rhymalese and Garfield. Of course, let us not forget our dependable administrator- Carol Myers," he said.
