Police in Dominica investigating Roseau death as murder
Body discovered in River Bank
The death of a man in Roseau last weekend is being treated as murder by police.
Authorities said the incident, which they believe occurred around 4am on Saturday (27 May), happened on River Bank – in an area locally known as Washington.
“Fabian George, a 38-year-old male from the community of Massacre, sustained an injury to his lower abdomen,” Inspector Pelham Jno Baptiste told WIC News.“Fabian George was officially pronounced dead by a medical doctor”.
Earlier police released the victims name as Junior James of St Joseph, but have now corrected it to Mr George.
Investigations are ongoing, the police added, and a inquest will be convened.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward to help the investigations.
“The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force extends condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” Baptiste added.
