St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew conducted a follow-up visit to Cayon High School in order to inspect the ongoing infrastructure rehabilitation and to gather updates on any emerging issues.

He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Dr Geoffrey Hanley and other officials from the Ministry of Education, who were all pleased to see the progress.

PM Drew said that the school underwent significant progress since their last inspection which included the installation of windows, doors, and electrical systems in an entire block of the school. While sharing the development on his official Facebook account, Dr Drew said, "This morning, I had the privilege of conducting a follow-up visit to Cayon High School." He was also pleased to announce the completion of an upgraded bathroom facility which is a crucial enhancement to the school's infrastructure.

The Prime Minister said that these significant developments underscore the administration's unwavering commitment to providing the students with a conducive learning environment.

In addition to this, he reiterated his commitment and dedication towards enhancing the education sector of St Kitts and Nevis and outlined, "We will continue to prioritize investments in education to empower our youth and drive our nation's development forward." The Prime Minister also expressed his profound gratitude to the dedicated educators and staff at the Cayon High School for their tireless efforts in creating a nurturing space for the students to thrive.

In order to complete these enhancements as soon as possible, the school transitioned to remote learning as it prioritized the safety and well-being of the students.

The school authorities encouraged the parents to ensure that their children are safe and occupied at home and added, "Teachers will be sending assignments through virtual platforms, so electronic devices must be made available for your children to participate in their remote learning activities."

The quick action by the St Kitts and Nevis administration showcases the Government's commitment to address the issues effectively while keeping the betterment of residents in mind.
