Notably, a number of seasonal employees were also employed during the National Carnival period which included vendors, gate and security personnel.

The SKNNCC also highlighted that restaurants experienced a huge surge in demand during that period, with reservations fully booked to cater to customers wanting to indulge in the local cuisine.

The car rental services also saw a remarkable rise in business, as vehicles were rented to transport guests across the island.

On the other hand, the hotels, guest houses and Airbnb also provide comfortable accommodations to visitors from across the world.

The local artisans, entrepreneurs, caterers, photographers, content creators, hair and makeup artists, seamstresses, designers and vendors also enjoyed a major surge in economic activity during the Sugar Mas 52.

To make the Sugar Mas 52 a huge success, the cleaning services played a huge role in maintaining the venue conditions while the infrastructure providers, such as tent and stage rentals, light and sound specialists, bands, DJs and entertainers also played huge roles.

This shows that the Sugar Mas has become more than just a festival; it is a testament to the unbeatable spirit of St Kitts and Nevis, where tradition, culture and unity flourish on the world stage.

The economic impact of the Carnival events was expanded by several private fetes hosted during this period. These events also provided opportunities for several service providers to generate significant economic activity.
