The Montserrat Cadet Corps successfully hosted a camp for its non-commissioned cadet officers (NCOs) on weekends. The Cadet NCO Camp aimed at providing an opportunity for the young leaders attending the camp to deepen their knowledge of catting and practically apply their skills ahead of the upcoming weekend when all the cadets will be on camp. The Cadet NCOs engaged and trained in areas of leadership, first aide, map reading, fieldcraft, adventurous training, range exercises and drill.
They will get a further opportunity this coming weekend at applying their skills when they are joined with the other members of the Cadet Corps for another weekend camp.
This time we will be looking to create an environment for the building of camaraderie through challenging but enjoyable evolution of training.
Special thanks to the Royal Montserrat Defence Force, Royal Montserrat Police Service, Montserrat Customs and Revenue Service, Public Works Department, and the Disaster Management Coordination Agency for supporting the camp.
