Minister Douglas congratulates Captain Harvey for expertly guiding Icon of the Seas to Port Zante
St Kitts and Nevis: Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Denzil Douglas extended a huge congratulations to Harbour Pilot Captain Ludell Harvey for expertly guiding the Icon of the Seas to Port Zante.

Captain Harvey, an Antiguan who is working in St Kitts, craved his name in history as the first captain to expertly guide the largest cruise ship into the St Kitts Pier.

Following the arrival of the World's Largest Cruise Icon of the Seas, Minister Douglas met the pilot and said, "It was indeed a pleasure to meet with Harbor Pilot, Captain Ludell Harvey, our own Iconic Hero and express my own gratitude and appreciation to him on this historic occasion." The Minister further added that he confidently and expertly guided the World's Largest Cruise Ship Icon of the Seas to the Pier at Port Zante, Basseterre, on Tuesday, 30th January.

While appreciating him, Dr Denzil Douglas added that the whole world was watching, and it was indeed a moment of joy and pride for all Kittitians and Nevisians.

He also remarked that thousands around the world celebrated and, especially Ludell Harvey's fellow harbour pilots from across the Caribbean and have sent congratulatory messages via social media.

Notably, Harvey spoke briefly with Freeman, his coworker, on what it was like handling or piloting the World's Largest Cruise Ship to the Basseterre Pier. He said that he feels proud to handle such a big ship and is delighted that everything went well with it.

Meanwhile, several other people congratulated the captain for the amazing job done with the docking of the ship through social media.

"Congratulations to you, sir. Keep up the good work, and may the almighty God guide you in your career," wrote a user named Facy Baptiste, while another user, Patricia, said, "I'm not a Kantian, but I'm very proud of your accomplishments, Mr Captain Harvey may the lord continue to guide you through all your journeys."
