Median LaRocque appointed as new Director of DBOS
A Masters of Science Degree holder Median LaRocque has been appointed as the Director of DBOS (Dominica Bureau of Standards) on Tuesday morning.

A Masters of Science Degree holder Median LaRocque has been appointed as the Director of DBOS (Dominica Bureau of Standards) on Tuesday morning.
According to data, the new Director has high education standard holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Science from La Universidad Agraria De La Habana and a Masters of Science in Food Science and Technology from the University of the West Indies (UWI).
Median LaRocque has also served as a Process Control Manager in Smithfield Foods in Spring field, Massachusetts and another job in the United States of America.
Besides, he also has experience of more than 10 years in the fields of quality, process control and agriculture, following the association with several international organisations.
The new Director has additionally worked as a Produce Chemist and agricultural Extension Officer in the Ministry of Agriculture in Dominica, as well as a Safe Quality Food (SQF) Lead Auditor.
He has also experienced training in fields such as Pesticide Management, USDA and FDA Regulatory and Compliance, as well as Sanitary and Phyto-Sanitary Measures.
Besides, LaRocque is versed in the field of administration, having previously operated a large staff on differing levels, from diverse cultural environments.
