Guyana: Local student Orletta John wins trip to Kaieteur

The GTA outlined that it was a great way to end 2023 and expressed their thankfulness to Evergreen Adventures for facilitating this wonderful experience on December 31, 2023.

Guyana: Orletta John won herself a trip to Kaieteur as part of her victory in the Guyana Tourism Authority's Museum Week Social Media Competition.

The GTA outlined that it was a great way to end 2023 and expressed their thankfulness to Evergreen Adventures for facilitating this wonderful experience on December 31, 2023.

During her visit to Kaieteur, the winner clicked beautiful pictures and was delighted to get this opportunity to explore the unique location. Kaieteur comprises of a waterfall that is among the most powerful waterfalls in the world and a national park. Located on the Potaro River in the Kaieteur National Park, it sits in a section of the Amazon rainforest included in the Potaro-Siparuni region of Guyana. Following her visit, she gave her review of the experience which mentioned a special thanks to the GTA and said, "I just would like to extend heartiest of gratitude to you and your team for the kind gesture shown."

She said that it was a memorable experience, one which she will never forget and added that Guyana is indeed beautiful.

"I see why we have to continue to preserve historical and cultural sites as the Kaieteur," said John.
She called her journey 'very smooth' because because professional individuals such as Miss Sade Danielle, Captain Michael Yearwood and the Tour Guide Troy made it worthwhile.

She also commended the three of them for their discipline in the promotion of good work ethics.

"Overall, it was a beautiful day. No complaints. I pray you and your team continue to succeed even as you continue the inclusive approach in reaching people far and wide with these competitions and promotions for Tourism Week and even beyond. Every Blessings," concluded Orletta John.

The Guyana Tourism Authority was delighted to host her at the year's end and said that she had been a wonderful guest.
