Jamaica: A woman named Ashley Smith of Mount Vernon from Jamaica of age 37 was murdered Saturday morning in a borough of New York City. She was killed when her throat was slashed.
Until yesterday, there was no one arrested in the offense. Not even the guilty person was found for the offense committed. As per the reports, it has been stated that the eyewitness of the incident has earlier seen the deceased woman involved in arguments with another one.
The one who has witnessed this has claimed that during the dispute, the victim was spilled out onto the street. And, amidst the altercations, the woman’s throat was slashed. Moreover, the police reported that the victim named Smith was declared murdered after she was found outside a Bronx building in New York with a deep wound to the neck on Saturday.
The police reported that the officers responding to a call of an assault in the morning at around 6:10 am, found the body of the victim outside a two-family home on Oakley Street near E. 219th street in Williamsbridge.
When the body of the victim was found, she was unconscious, suffering from a deep gash to her neck. Considering her condition, emergency medical services took Smith (woman from Jamaica) to Jacobi Hospital so she could be given the best treatment to stabilize her condition.
However, she died a short time later due to the injuries she had. On this, the neighbor mentioned that nearby the house where the woman’s throat was slashed, so many wild parties on a frequent basis get hosted near the bucolic street.
The police officials are actively working on investigations so they could reach Smith’s attacker. And, the culprit could be taken to the law’s custody. Under all the investigations going, the police is tracking down the surveillance footage so it would become easy to reach to the culprit.
