Guyana man chopped by friend after an argument

Guyana: A 39-year-old labourer from Albion Front Corentyne, Jagdeo Ganesh, also known as Chucks was admitted to the hospital following brutal chopping of his body by his friend following an argument on Monday at Albion Front Corentyne, Berbice.

According to police, the suspect and victim both were close friends. Whereas, on the day of the incident, the Chucks was riding his bicycle on his way to home after visiting the supermarket. Where suspect confronted him with a dagger and both had an aggressive argument.

Subsequently, the suspect used a sharp weapon to attack Chucks and left several chops on his body, causing him to become severely injured. Following the incident, suspect made an escape from the site on foot. Later, Chucks was taken to the Port Mourant Public Hospital by the police, where police registered a criminal case against his friend. According to police, the investigations are ongoing and the suspect is still at large. Officials said that appropriate measures are being taken to arrest the culprit.
