Government is ensuring all Dominicans are equal: PM Roosevelt Skerrit
PM stated government is ensuring to let Dominicans know that they are all equal and entitled to same as everywhere else in the country.

The government of Dominica officially opened the Portsmouth Health & Wellness Centre on Monday. The place has been named "Olivia Douglas health and wellness centre."
Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit acknowledged the extraordinary service and commitment of nurse Olivia Douglas for Dominica. He stated that she served the people of the country so well that people cannot even remember she wasn't born on the island. PM also stated that Olivia Douglas assisted the country in a health crisis even after her retirement. He stated that despite being retired, she worked with the energy of a newly graduated. Olivia-Douglas, sitting in the audience, received thanks from Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit for her exceptional contribution to the Dominican health sector.Prime Minister Skerrit recalled the year 2005 when Dominica got its first Intensive Care Unit and stated that providing modern health care to the country is pivotal.
He stated that user-friendly medical facilities encourage people to get trouble-free treatments.Furthermore, he stated that the government has decided to call health, health, and wellness centers to emphasize wellness.
"We do not want people to come to health centres when they have something wrong with them; we want people to come to these health and wellness centres to get educated and informed on how we can take care of ourselves," stated PM Roosevelt Skerrit.
Prime Minister stated that the country is building twelve new health and wellness centres. He stated that the administration recently received a request from Clifton for a new health centre.
He noted that the government is also re-building a health center for Roseau.
Prime Minister stated that the government is constructing the same things in all areas of Dominica, even in terms of housing. Citing an example, he stated the housing units in La Plaine are of similar essence of the ones in Roseau and other areas.
"The government is ensuring to let Dominicans know that we are all equal and we are all entitled to same as everywhere else in the country," stated PM Skerrit.
